This policy explains how The Frontpage of Golf, currently available at FrontpageofGolf.com ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you browse our website or contact us. Newsletter signup and delivery are currently disabled.

Information we collect

• Newsletter information: Newsletter signup is currently disabled. If we enable it, we will collect the email address you submit and send it to beehiiv to manage your subscription and deliver email. We will finalize newsletter disclosures before enabling signup.
• Website activity and technical information: Our hosting and analytics providers may process information such as requested pages, referring websites, browser and device details, IP addresses, timestamps, and errors to deliver, measure, and protect the service.
• Messages: If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. Our contact inbox is hosted by Google’s Gmail service. See Google’s Privacy Policy.

How we use information

We use information to respond to messages and privacy requests, understand website usage, improve and protect the site, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Browser storage and analytics

The website uses local storage on your device to remember your light or dark theme choice and which stories you have marked as read. These preferences remain in your browser; the website does not send this stored read-history list or theme preference to our newsletter service. You can remove them by clearing this website’s data in your browser settings. Doing so resets those preferences.

Vercel Web Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visitor numbers, popular pages, and how visitors reach the website. Its script loads automatically on the homepage; the website currently has no analytics consent control.

Analytics data may include page URLs, filtered URL query parameters, referring websites, timestamps, approximate location, browser and operating system information, and device type. We use the resulting statistics to understand and improve the website.

According to Vercel, Web Analytics does not use cookies and uses a request-derived hash to distinguish visitors, with visitor-session identification discarded after 24 hours. This 24-hour period concerns visitor identification, not necessarily the retention of aggregate analytics reports. Vercel describes its default reports as aggregated statistics rather than information that identifies individual visitors. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation.

We have not configured custom analytics events to send email addresses, newsletter form contents, or stored read-history preferences. We do not use session replay or advertising pixels in the current website. URLs and query parameters can nevertheless contain information, so please do not put personal or sensitive details into website URLs.

Website hosting

Vercel also hosts the website. Hosting and security operations may process technical request information, including IP addresses and logs, separately from the analytics statistics described above. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice.

Newsletter service

The Morning Round newsletter and its signup are currently disabled. No new newsletter subscriptions are accepted through the website. We have configured beehiiv for future newsletter delivery, but will update this policy with the actual subscription, confirmation, email measurement, retention, and unsubscribe practices before enabling signup.

Sharing and external links

We share information with providers that support hosting, analytics, and email communications. Newsletter processing will be described before that service is enabled. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

Story links and social links take you to independent websites, including publishers and X. Those services apply their own privacy policies. Their data practices are outside our control.

Retention and security

Contact messages are kept as needed to respond to requests, maintain relevant correspondence, and meet security or legal obligations. You may request deletion using the contact address below, subject to applicable retention requirements. Provider logs and analytics follow the relevant provider’s retention practices. Browser preferences remain until you clear them or your browser removes them. No online service or transmission is completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You can clear local browser data and use your browser’s privacy controls. Blocking scripts may prevent analytics from running; clearing browser preferences does not delete previously collected analytics statistics. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live.

Children

The website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, email frontpageofgolf@gmail.com so we can investigate and arrange removal.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or newsletter as appropriate.
